Read on!<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong><span style=\"font-size:16px;\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;\">AMARILLO<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"font-size:16px;\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.burrowingowlbookstore.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Burrowing Owl Books<\/a><\/strong> will open the Amarillo Burrowing Owl in early February, 2025.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong><span style=\"font-size:16px;\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;\">AUSTIN<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"font-size:16px;\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/flutterromancebookstore.company.site\/\" target=\"_blank\">Flutter Romance Bookstore<\/a><\/strong> opened on February 1 and held their grand opening celebration the weekend of February 14. Owner and author Laurelin Paige sees the store as a \u201cspace dedicated to books and devoted to romance, a sanctuary for readers, and a gathering place for like-minded people to find their community.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"font-size:16px;\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hpb.com\/store?storeid=HPB-007&amp;showMap=true&amp;horizontalView=true&amp;isForm=true\" target=\"_blank\">Half Price Books<\/a><\/strong> will close their Palmer Lane location in early February. A <a href=\"https:\/\/communityimpact.com\/austin\/northwest-austin\/business\/2025\/01\/08\/half-price-books-to-close-parmer-lane-location-feb-2-with-blowout-sale\/\" target=\"_blank\">Community Impact article<\/a> states that a sign on the door indicates lease agreement issues. The store had been closed for renovations since February of 2024.&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong><span style=\"font-size:16px;\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;\">DALLAS<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"font-size:16px;\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.poetsbooks.com\/home\" target=\"_blank\">Poet Bookshop<\/a><\/strong> in Oak Cliff plans to open a second location in the Deep Ellum district. Owner Marco Cavazos told KERA that he wishes to host more community and writer events in the new location, which should open in late March.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong><span style=\"font-size:16px;\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;\">HOUSTON<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"font-size:16px;\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;\">After operating as a pop-up romance bookshop since May of 2024, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/mossrosebookshop\/\" target=\"_blank\">Mossrose Bookshop<\/a><\/strong> will open a physical location in the Ironworks building in Houston.
