A bookstore and community space, they specialize in small press poetry, fiction, and works in translation. They are located at 613 West 29th Street.&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p paraeid=\"{796d594d-9881-43c0-9c9b-f04c9398f959}{188}\" paraid=\"546710075\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p paraeid=\"{796d594d-9881-43c0-9c9b-f04c9398f959}{192}\" paraid=\"984351515\"><span style=\"font-size:16px;\"><span style=\"font-family:Times New Roman,Times,serif;\"><u><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.firstlightaustin.com\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">First Light Bookshop and Caf\u00e9<\/a><\/strong><\/u>, located at 4300 Speedway, opened on August 19. The bookstore offers a wide selection for all readers and a strong emphasis on its community programming slate. First Light offers an annual membership program called First Light Years. Members receive free drip coffee daily, 20% off book purchases, free delivery within a 5-mile radius, and invitations to some select members-only programming.&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p paraeid=\"{796d594d-9881-43c0-9c9b-f04c9398f959}{209}\" paraid=\"1946156082\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p paraeid=\"{796d594d-9881-43c0-9c9b-f04c9398f959}{213}\" paraid=\"1048248001\"><span style=\"font-size:16px;\"><span style=\"font-family:Times New Roman,Times,serif;\"><u><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/scalawagmagazine.org\/2022\/09\/texas-mobile-library-bookmobiles\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">The Bat Mobile<\/a><\/strong><\/u>, run by <u><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/austinbatcave.org\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Austin Bat Cave<\/a><\/strong><\/u>, began its life providing creative writing programs to students in the greater Austin area. Lone Star Literary Life recently learned that, since the pandemic, it has found new life as a bookmobile. We&#8217;ll be liquidating the bookshop this week, so come on by to stock up your TBR for the coming cozy, autumn season!
