Rudolph, the one who\u2019s published,  <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

And if you ever read it, <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

You would even buy the book. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

You\u2019re a mean one, Mr. Editor <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

You keep sending back my prose. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

You\u2019re picky and you\u2019re stubborn <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Your details make me cry, <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Mr. Editor . . .  <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Gonna find out if your story fits . . .  <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Not the time for writer\u2019s block <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Deadlines come and deadlines go . . . <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cLet it Snow\u201d <\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Oh, the writer guidelines are frightful <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

And the deadline is tomorrow . . .  <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cSanta Baby” <\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Santa baby, just slip a contract under the tree for me <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Been an awful good writer <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Santa baby, I need a six-figure advance tonight . . .  <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

I didn\u2019t use the traditional Christmas carols. Their words and meaning are much too significant. So let me suggest that when the season angles toward stressful and hectic, may the sweet sounds of \u201cSilent Night,\u201d \u201cGod Rest Ye Merry Gentleman,\u201d and \u201cOh, Little Town of Bethlehem\u201d remind you of the reason for the season. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
