We writers can become so involved with our stories that we may forget we\u2019re writing for readers\u2014not agents, editors, marketing and promotion types, or sales staff. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

    And writing is our game.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

There are 7.9 billion people in this world. We will never meet each person, but through our writing and social media, we have an opportunity to contact many of them and make a friend from anywhere. How amazing to reach others with a well-written story\u2014to give and not to take. That\u2019s a challenge, and one I welcome.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Where does a writer find sound ways to bring people under the umbrella of a reader . . . and a friend?<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022    Some write to satisfy a longing to create a story. 
\u2022    Some long to master the art of communicating through the written word.
\u2022    Some desire to relay deep moral truths through an unpredictable plot and realistic characters.
\u2022    Some write to simply entertain the reader. 
\u2022    Some venture to write what they\u2019ve never done before.
\u2022    Some create for multiple reasons. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
