The Texas A&M University Libraries are looking for \u201chuman books\u201d to participate in the fourth annual Human Library on the afternoon of March 4. The event aims to create dialogue and deeper understanding in the Aggie community.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Texas A&M students, faculty, staff, and others who have experienced discrimination based on race, religion, sexual preference, class, gender identity, sex, age, lifestyle choices, disability, or any other aspect of their lives are encouraged to sign up to participate as a human book.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n At the event, campus and community members \u201ccheck out\u201d a human book to have a thirty-minute conversation that challenges stereotypes and biases.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Join as a reader or a book. The broad selection of books provided readers with ample choice to challenge their stereotypes, and so more than a thousand readers took advantage, leaving books, librarians, organizers, and readers stunned at the reception and impact of the Human Library.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n
