HOLLYWOOD\u2014According to Deadline today, <\/span>Amy Poehler<\/span><\/a><\/strong> has set her next directorial project for Netflix. It will be Moxie<\/em>, a Tamara Chestna-scripted adaptation of the <\/span>Jennifer Mathieu<\/span><\/a><\/strong> novel which Poehler\u2019s Paper Kite acquired last year.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Poehler will produce through her Paper Kite banner along with Veep\u2019s Morgan Sackett and Paper Kite development director Kim Lessing. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Moxie<\/span><\/a><\/strong><\/em><\/span> <\/em>tells the story of a 16-year-old girl from a small Texas town who is inspired by her mother\u2019s past as part of the underground punk movement Riot Grrrl, and uses it as the catalyst to start a feminist revolution at her high school.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
