The 7th Annual Laredo Book Festival<\/span> will feature Matt de la Pe\u00f1a,<\/span> a New York Times bestselling, Newbery Medal\u2013winning author of six young adult novels (Mexican WhiteBoy, The Living and The Hunted<\/span>) and two picture books (A Nation\u2019s Hope<\/span> and Last Stop on Market Street)<\/span>.<\/p>\nSponsored by the Laredo Public Library and the Friends of the Laredo Public Library, the event will take place at the Joe A. Guerra\/Laredo Public Library at 1120 E. Calton Road on Saturday, Dec. 9 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.<\/p>\n
Other featured authors include Patty York Raymond, Christina Sendejo,<\/span> and Mario E. Martinez.<\/span> In addition, all local authors and illustrators are invited to participate as well. There will also be food trucks and vendors.<\/p>\n
